CURRICULUM

Maria Della Sala, born in Avellino in 1984, is a 2nd year PhD student in Civil Environmental Engineering at the University of Salerno.

Education

On December 2005, Bachelor's Degree in Civil Environmental Engineering, at the University of Salerno (final grade 109/110), with a Thesis in Hydraulics entitled "Analisi dell'incidenza della vulnerabilità meccanica nelle reti idriche. Casi di studio: Avellino, Atripalda e Santa Paolina", Tutor: Dr. Maria Nicolina Papa.

On June 2008, Master Degree in Environmental Engineering, at the University of Salerno (final grade 110 cum laude/110), with a Thesis in Geotechnics entitled "Analisi geotecnica a scala di massiccio delle colate rapide di fango del maggio '98", Tutors: Prof. Leonardo Cascini, Dr. Sabatino Cuomo.

On February 2011, admission to the PhD Course in Civil Environmental Engineering at the University of Salerno.

On September 2011, she attended the International School on "LAndslide Risk Assessment and Mitigation" - LARAM School,  University of Salerno.

Research

Her research topic is the analysis of the genesis and evolution of flow-like mass movements in pyroclastic soils.
