The 1st edition of the International Symposium on “Sustainable Construction” is organized by the Department of Civil Engineering (DICIV) and the Department of Information and Electric Engineering and Applied Mathematics (DIEM) of the University of Salerno (UNISA), in cooperation with the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Riga Technical University (RTU), Latvia, in the framework of the Sustainable Construction Community events.
«Sustainability» is one of the world’s most talked about but least understood words. Its meaning is often clouded by differing interpretations and by a tendency for the subject to be treated superficially. Traditionally the concept of sustainability embraces the preservation of the environment, as well as critical development-related issues such as the efficient use of resources, continual social progress, stable economic growth, and the eradication of poverty.
The Symposium scientific programme will include lectures from the following fields:
- Acoustics in Sustainable Construction
- Architecture in Sustainable Construction
- BIM in Sustainable Construction
- Environmental issues in Sustainable Construction and urban agriculture
- Radon in Sustainable Construction
- Structural Engineering in Sustainable Construction
A detailed program will be announced soon.
No fees are required for participating in the Symposium. The event is financially supported by the University of Salerno
*Deadline extended for the online Int Symposium on Sustainable Construction*
Since there are still few seats available, the Committee will accept late applications until program seats are filled.
You can apply to the symposium by email to email@example.com , sending the application form filled in all its parts and signed electronically.
Seats for students are limited and a selection will be performed in case of high number of applications. For this reason, we kindly ask to applicant students to attach to the application the Curriculum Vitae, in either English or Italian, with the most recent academic transcript (details about courses successfully attended and marks obtained). This item is not required for professors and researchers.
The confirmation of acceptance will be sent by email to the applicants. Also the link and the password to join the event will be provided approximately one week before the event.
